Columbia students travelling abroad to attend conferences also must register with International SOS, an emergency services program that helps with unexpected medical or security issues, prior to departure.

Eligibility:

  • GSAS Graduate Students

  • Attending a professional or academic conference

  • Already recieving departmental funding for conference attendance

Reimbursements

Availability:

Once per year, max two per student lifetime

Reimbursements must be submitted to E3B DAAF within 10 days of the  end of the conference

Your proposal should be submitted electronically (via email) to the DAF, DGS/DMAP, and your advisor. The proposal should include the following:

  • Application Form

  • Start/End Date of Travel

  • Budget Breakdown

  • A brief description of the work

Eligibility:

  • E3B PhD students 

  • Within first two years of the program

Reimbursements

Availability:

One time

Receipts must be turned in within two weeks after project-related travel has concluded

  • E3B Gradaute Students with an ASGC Rep

  • ASGC Rep for degree program (MA or PhD) must be consistently attending ASGC meetings

  • Must be presenting at a conference

Reimbursements

Availability:

One time

To receive a reimbursement, email the packet to Harold Ansah at ha2392@columbia.edu and fill out the Student Travel Grant Reimbursement Form within 30 days following the conference.
